Pizza Dough

Pizza Dough

1 c beer (or water)
1 tbsp shortening or oil

1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt

2 3/4 to 3 c. white flour

1 1/4 tsp yeast

mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately. Add dry to wet and mix well until a ball forms. Knead lightly (10 times?). Put into a lightly grease bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rest in a warm (no drafts please!) place until double in size. Punch down and make two balls. Knead with a little flour if required. Stretch or flatten with rolling pin or hand.

Top as you like and bake at about 220 C for about 15-25 minutes.
