Homesteader Cornbread

Homesteader Cornbread

Ingredients

· 1 ½ cups cornmeal

· 2 ½ cups milk

· 2 cups flour

· 2 eggs

· 1 teaspoon baking powder

· 1 teaspoon salt

· 2/3 cups white sugar

· ½ cups vegetable oil

Preheat the oven to 400˚F. Combine milk and cornmeal in a small bowl, let sit for a while. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix in the cornmeal/milk mixture, eggs and oil until smooth. Bake for 30-35min.
